Is your passenger power seat working OK? My driver seat didn't work but the passenger was so I wasn't sure if was a fuse/electrical problem. Pull the seat latch to move the seatback forward to see if the seat moves forward automatically. If it does then maybe you have a broken switch or something is preventing the switch from working. Feel under the seat and you should find wiring to seat motors. I wiggled them around and the seat was working for me.

Ive had a bunch of problems with my seats. But I was offered real cheap recaro seats and they matched my interior and I swapped them. Big weight dffernce too. The stock g seats weigh quite alot.

I'm having the same problem with my driver seat. The seat reclines, but does not move forward or backwards. Because the seat is currently all the way back, I cannot access the two rear bolts and remove the seat.

Is there any way to move the seat manually?

Is there a way to inspect the switch without removing the seat?

Has anyone else encountered this problem or know of a fix?

Do you hear the motor on the seat trying to work? Does the seat make any noises when you try to move it back and forth? Look through these threads to see if they can help you pinpoint your issue.

It makes the signal clicky noise (same noise you hear when the seat won't go any further, but you're still holding the switch), but no motor noise.

Thanks for the links. I don't think it's a track jam issue because I have no movement and no motor noise unlike the other threads who have an issue with one side working and not the other. It sounds to me to be a motor issue, but is it a different motor than the reclining? I also read that if it is the plastic gear that you don't have to remove the seat. So how do you replace it?

You might look into the plastic gear issue. Sounds like it may be the problem.

I just edited my previous post to add more info. Thanks for the help. I'll look into the gear.

Nevermind, I found the DIY on the gear website. It says to have the seat in the forward position. How do I get it there if it is stuck all the way back?
