Passenger Seat Recline/incline motor...
Resolved...
To make a long story short, it was the switch, and it all works now.
To make a long story long, I had a black '05 G35 coupe that got crashed a few years back. Posted up in here about that some time ago. The guy who bought that car lived not very far from my son's campus. So I had been texting with him about the possibility that he might let me snag the seat switch off that car, because all he wanted was the engine and transmission. And so it came to pass. I asked, he said fine. I went to his house and removed the seat. That was the most difficult part of this whole thing. That seat was damaged and wouldn't slide forward. But we did manage to get the seat out.
I took the seat to his campus with the idea of switching parts until the seat worked. We unbolted his G35 seat and laid it over on its right side without disconnecting anything. I switched switches and that's all it took. The old crashed G35's switch worked and the seat moves just fine. It's strange that off the vehicle, that switch tested fine, but in the vehicle it would not incline.
We put the seat back in. I put the no good switch back on the old seat, and took the guy back that seat. Other than some money spent on fuel, I got this fixed for free. Case closed ... for now.
Thanks for listening guys. Maybe this helps someone in the future.
