2007 g35 coupe crank no start
So will the pump turn on when you turn the ignition switch to ON. It should prime to pump for 1 second then turn it back off.
You can hear the pump prime, if it's priming then the issue probably isn't the pump. In order for the pump to turn back on when you crank the engine it requires CAM SENSOR data, if the cam sensor fails then the pump won't run while the engine is cranking.
If the pump won't even prime though then it's time to check voltage on the harness. At the fuel pump harness you should have 12vdc on the black/yellow stripe wire, black wire is the ground so you can test directly against it, or against chassis metal.
I strongly recommend doing this with the pump installed in place, don't remove the pump and expose the fuel. You have a high potential for spark and could ignite fuel vapor.
The pump does not need to be removed for this test, the harness is right on top of the pump assembly, you just need to remove the rear seat cushion (two tabs at the front edge of the seat, pull those tabs forward then lift the seat cushion up), then there is a metal cover below the seat cushion to access the pump and sub-pump. To remove the cover turn those little phillips head plugs 45 degrees so the diamond becomes a square, then you lift the cover up. Pump harness is now accessible.
