Problems on the way - and I don't do my own work
Hi all- hope everyone is doing well. I don't post often but everyone has been super helpful so thanks in advance.
Vehicle is 2005 G35 coupe, approx 96,000 miles. I just got back from a nice long road trip, two days of 9 hour driving with no issues. That was nice. And I did an track day recently that was crazy fun. BUT...My mechanic says there's two minor but lingering issues.... small leak in the steering rack, and some seeping in the upper oil pan.... I don't believe for a second that the upper oil pan will be inexpensive :-(
Just looking for feedback in advance of what people know about these 2 issues, when to do it, and how many hours of dishwashing this will cost :-)
Merci'. Happy autumn..

Typically it is cheaper to buy a remanufactured rack and swap it out than fix / rebuild your OEM.
upper oil pan could be any number of things above it. More than likely - valve covers warping and VC gaskets failing.
