I have a 06 coupe with i-Key and 2 original fobs. My daily one works fine no issues but I always wondered why my spare would drain the battery in a few days and then go dead. Have not thought about this in a few years and probably been that long since I even tried the other key.

Wondering if it's worth putting another battery in and trying it out or could that cause issues. I think I saw one person who's battery fob died in a few days and I read also the system can forget keys after a long time..don't want to make a problem where there is not, let me know.

 

Just buy a new one key fobs are cheap if theur not the autostart ones
