I was having issues with my car starting in may, ses light came on with a camshaft position sensor code (which ive had before & resolved with no issues), this time its different. After swapping all 4 sensor the code wouldnt go away. All of a sudden i started getting a p0016 code as well, then my car would have very quick and sudden rev @ around 4-4.5k rpm. After about 2 of those sudden revs my vdc and slip light activates and the car feels likes its in limp mode. Then when i would go to start the car its takes about way too long to start and when it does sounds like all the cylinder are misfiring and would try to stall out at idling if im not holding the accelerator. I put an autel scanner on in and went on a road test. During the road test the exhaust & intake valve timing for bank 1&2 were not matching at all, i brought it to the shop had them diagnose it and was told its an timing chain & cam sprocket issue. After installing a "s.a. Gear timing chain kit" part# 76200v (from rock auto) and after the install the car cranks, no solid red immobilizer light and the car has a full tank of gas, and the cksp is fine but the car wont turn on. It cranks for a while, the engine turns over for a second then craps out. After removing the timing cover everything is aligned but still having the same issue. The only thing i can think of is that they told me when they were first getting to the timing chain the magnet retarder fell out of the housing by itself without trying to remove it. Can that be the issue my engine wont start? Ive been looking everywhere online but no help, been with out my baby for almost 4 months now

 

So you replaced cam sensors huh.. Whats the brand of those sensors and from where?
