Am I the only one having issues with seats??

First off, love the car. Ive had mine for about 2mos. now and having real issues with theseat comfort. The seat seams to have littleto no support upper back and the side bolsters seem to be very tight on me (5-11,200lbs.). Its getting tothe point that anytime I get in the car all Im doing is complainig about how the seats are uncomfortable, very little padding on upper sides and the seat frame seams to bite right into my upper ribcage/back . Any others out their sharing the same exp. and done anything about it? thanks

I'm 5'11" 190lbs. and don't have any issues with my seats. Between tilt, height, lean, and lumbar, you should be able to find something comfortable, privided the seat is constructed properly. Just wondering if the passenger seat is bad too.
Have the tech at the dealership check it out.

The side bolsters are tight but not as bad as the CL for sure. I don't ever wear a coat when driving, just gloves if it's cold. You might try tilting the seat back forward some so that the head rest is closer. That might change the contact points between your back and the seat a bit.

My biggest issue with the seats was the thigh bolsters but that's passing now as I continue to test drive the coupe until mine arrives. It's pretty funny, I call ahead, walk in and the receptionist has a set of keys for me. Last time, I drove around and picked up some Chinese take out, came back to the lot and put the stuff in my car then chatted with the Internet guy. Sometimes you just luck out with your neighborhood dealer. ...dean

Enough about me and more about you !!

I'm having a little trouble getting comfortable too. I'm 5'11" 182lbs, and have tried many positions on the seat. I do know that I like the front part of the seat tilted all the way down or else my thighs feel funny.

I'm experimenting so much with the backrest angle and rear bottom tilt. I find myself adjusting the seat everyday. If there is a fix, I would love to find out.

Re: Am I the only one having issues with seats??

I'm 6'1", 180 and it took me 2 weeks to find the perfect position but now I think the seats are ok.

The only thing I have to do is to take my wallet out of my rear pocket. If I don't do this I get some pain in my lower back after driving for a long time...weird.

The problem is too much money in your wallet! Please send all surplus to your forum therapist.

Thankyou

Re: Am I the only one having issues with seats??

I'm 6'3 220 RIPPED...shredded to the point of almost having no skin...
the muscle striations are incredible in my legs and delts and chest.

Im lifting right now.

I have no trouble with the seats..... I do however have a very fat wallet which seems to indent the leather.

So, I have sent the money care of G35driver.com to someone .... did anyone recieve it yet?

Re: Am I the only one having issues with seats??

This will sound crazy BUT, the seat needs to break in. At first I too thought it was un-comfortable. The seat controls were digging into my leg. I had to shift around in the seat every few minutes. Now that the seat has had time to adjust to me, it is the most comfortable seat I've ever had in a car.

Give it time, I think you'll get the same results as I have.

I believe Infiniti has a TSB out for "G35 Seat Comfort" to address this issue. I don't have the details handy, but check over on FreshAlloy's forums, and you should be able to find out the specifics on it.

I believe the dealer will make some changes to the seat involving adding or removing bolster padding, and changing the plastic rim around the control area, or some such remedy.

Don't quote me on what the fix is. I just skimmed through it briefly, as I have been able to (finally) get myself comfortable in the seat, too.

I think that TSB only applies to the sedan right?

No, not from what I read. Like I said, check for the thread over on FreshAlloy here.

Dally, you gotta be joking... For Tommyboy, I think you just gotta break the seat in more. I'm 5'11 & 185 and never had any issues with the side bolsters or support. However it still took me about two months to start getting real comfy in the seat. Now it's "LIKE A GLOVE", for you Jim Carrey fans. I would say however if there are sharp edges that are jabbing you that to me is a defect an should be corrected by the dealer. Good luck bro. I am 6'4" 260lbs and I have no problems with seat comfort. Sometimes I wish they were 1/2 an inch wider but that is about it.
