How do you guys do your oil changes... where?
#16
The problem w/ changing the oil yourself is that it's a major PITA. Need to get a jack or ramps to lift the car up enough, then you need an oil pan to catch it all, then you have to dispose of it.
gto2050, i've taken it to jiffy lube and i watched them. I was impressed by how they treated my car! he didn't take the entire underbody engine cover off though, he took off the rear 2 bolts and bent it down a little, but it worked. and then I watched him screw the bolts back in.

Btw my dealer charges $50 for non-synthetic oil... Nissan here we come, can't beat it for $28 and it goes on your service record too.

The diffusers are on the rear of the under body. The cover under the engine is somthing thats on all infiniti products.
Some guys only take out the one screw in the corner nearest the filter and drain. You can drain the oil without taking out any of the screws, thats why there is that hole in the cover. Then you take out that one screw so you can reach in and take the filter off. Other guys just take out the first 4-6 screws and drop the whole cover, it takes a little longer to remove all the screws, but its easier when you dont have to reach in to a small area for the filter.
