it will only get better...

22 mpg, does your navi read that, or are you calculating it yourself? the navi readout is a bit innaccurate i think.

don't have a Nav

Went to the gas station yesterday, and I calculate the total mileages I drove since last fillup and divided by how many gallon I fill up yesterday

You and I are averaging about the same. I have a little over 600 miles and have been right at 22 MPG (slightly less - 21.96 or some such) through the first two tanks.

About an even mix of city and highway for me. Very pleased after the horrors I've read here. Can't wait until she's broken in...

Congrats and enjoy the ride.

I recently moved out to Texas from Cali. It was a 1500 mile trip. I reset my AVERAGE gas mileage indicator and started my trek. When I arrived, I averaged 27MPG! Cruise control was set most of the time. That's awesome and that WITH a supercharger!

with 70 - 80% highway IF I drive mellow, i get a little better than that... it is just hard to drive mellow..

As far as the Nav, i have been stunned how accurate mine is (after a tank ~300 - 375 miles, the actual vs nav is always within about 1/10 of a MPG i.e. if i got 22.3 the nav might say 22.4)

That was a single opinion. I have never hear any rumor or problem with the navi. I guess if I took the #'s from my navi and did a manual calculation as well, that the #'s would be slightly different. How accurate is that pump at the corner gas station? And all the pumps at all the stations? They are close, I'm sure, but not drop-dead accurate. And did I top-off the tank? That will make my last take #'s look a little worse.

There are lot's of ways to judge, but as long as you use the same method all the time, and average it, you should be happy with whatever method you choose.
