Why would one trade in an 04' 6mt for an 05 6mt?

Sounds like another one of your drunken posts.
ScapGF - Your problem is that you are trying to use logic to make sense of Gee pasta's posts. I've come to the conclusion that either A) English is not his first language, or B) He's slightly retarded. Either way, your logic is no good here

Question for you?/ What does a drunken post sound like? I must not have speakers like you. Again enjoy your ride.

First off I never busted anyone on someone's language, please show me an instance where I have. All I said was that I couldn't figure out what he was trying to say from reading all of his previous post. Also the "***" didn't help me either.
I think prevail could be used there, but you are right avail would be a better word, thank you stud

Fact: 05 Horsepower gain will be offset by loss of torque
Fact: 05 brakes will begin to fade more quickly than Brembos when on track
Fact: 05 wheels will have a higher rotational mass than the 04[/QUOTE]
heheheh man....
1) yes the loss of torque is a bummer, but it is 10ftlbs, the extra 18hp will at least offset that, and likely more. i.e. The torque will help you luanch better, but the high end HP will do more since when going ***** to the wall you will take it to redline, and then shift, staying bettwen 5k and 7k the whole time. It was also noted by a few at the dyno day last weekend that the '05 seemed to keep making power up high (as pasta stated)
2) the brembos will do better under heat/stress conditions (long track days) but the stocks on the 05 are larger than prior years (near brembo) and a simple cooling vent mod would likely offer the tackability. Anyway, if you spend 1/2 of 1% of your time on the track, it would be a lot, and the 05 gives you a nice brake the other 99.5%. If you really track a lot or it is a track car, get a new brake setup. The brembo are also said to be 'graby and squeky'...
3) Rotainal mass... where do you guys get this stuff ??
an 18" with 45 series vs a 19" with 40 series tires have the diameter (well 677.7mm vs 678.6) - The Tire wieghs more than the wheel, the 19's are forged so they are lighter. I doubt the wieght is that much different, some have said the 19 OEMs are 5lbs lighter (I haven't checked). But if anything they have less rotationsl mass.
4) WHO THE HELL CARES... '03, '04, '04.5 '05.... they are all sweet rides

I would guess that a VERY small percentage of the readers on this forum actually track there cars. That being said, who the heck else is going to notice a difference of 1/10th of a second 0 to 60? Even if you did notice the difference how is that going to change your lives (You'll be able to merge onto the freeway easier or something)? These arguments are pointless.
The 05's definitely have some features I would want in my 04 but I'd never pay the price differential to get them - they're not worth that much to me.
I am happy with what I got and can't understand the logic of the 04 vs. 05 debate
. Each car is basically a "snapshot" in time. When the 04 came out it was the best thing going in my opinion. The 05's are being sold against stiffer and stiffer competition from the new 3 series and soon from the IS350. Unless the G continues to improve it will quickly become obsolete...
I don't mean this as a personal attack against the G but I don't think ANY of the interiors are all that great (even with the improvements). I'd still take the interior of some other cars over the G any day so I doubt it made much difference to Infiniti's bottomline. I would bet they're selling almost the same numbers of cars this year as last year.
The exterior and decent performance were the reasons I bought this car in the first place. Those would still be the reasons I'd buy it today.

Thanks for participating in this thread, you have truly made it entertaining with, to quote Dumb and Dumber(and to mock the situation), your rapist's wit!

'You'll have to forgive my friend here, he's a little slow...The town is 3 miles THAT way!'
jeebus. please dont get in a pissing match about 'my 04 is better than your 05' or vice-versa. WE ALL KNOW THAT 2003 WAS THE ONLY G35 MODEL YEAR TO WIN MOTOR TREND CAR OF THE YEAR!!!
