How fast is TOO fast???
Only had my G about 3 weeks or so. Highest speed yet has been only like 85 or so lol.
Got pulled over the other night doing 81 in a 55 but thanks to a PBA card and a little smooth talking i was able to work my way out of that incident.
And yet to have any cars try and run me...I'm getting anxious now that i'm finally getting better at driving the 6 MT.

Not sure how fast is TOO fast, but I have been in the range of 125mph in this car and it felt somewhat stable. Did 170mph(as indicated my the speedo, so it could vary at this speed) in a C5 vette, and my god was that unreal. Felt very solid at 150mph, but got exponentially twitchy and felt very light over 160. A minor bump could have sent the back around and it would be game over.
Not sure at what point it can really begin to be loose and unpredictable in the g35.
Keep in mind this is on a dead straight patch of asphalt with nobody around for miles.
Road conditions, traffic, debris all become factors depending on how brazen/stupid you are willing to get.
I am not sure about how quick this car would be through turn 10 at Sears Point, but I imagine it is somewhere near 100-112mph, and there are plenty of road courses with longer flat-out portions of track.

wow...I knew there would definitely be a large number of ppl passing 112, but 160-170 is pretty crazy. You guys better have radar. Where you do you guys pull such high speeds? Im from nyc, but I know in jersey there are a couple of spots.

Garden state parkway heading north from ACY. Wanted to drop my Ninja off for service. suffice it to say it was sold shortly afterwards. my buddy with his magna did it on a deserted back road (rarely traveled).
now as far as cars go I did 135 in my 89 prelude on white horse pike leaving ACY ( over 10 years ago ). was strange feeling the air from inside the car seemed to be tougher to breathe and it was hotter air then crusing at 50. perhaps it was my body's reaction to the speed and nothing to do with climate.
now on the motorcyle everything was blur except straight in front of me. I had to struggle to keep my hands on the bars and my body felt like it would fly behind the bike if i let it. scary as hell

funny when were younger we had a tendency to do more of that... so why is it when we get older we dont... do we fear the cops, fear for our life or have grown smarter ?
guess we can never relive our younger years but through the miracles of plastic surgery and viagra we can try to !

I don't like the tickets and the insurance anymore. Definately not scared of the road, I will open it up when I really need to run. the buck 25 in the prelude was just a couple years back and I was racing a heavily modded cirrus... it ran amazingly close... my lude had 135 hp, my how things have changed.
Oh, I guess I didn't answer the question... I would say too fast is relative to the car and the road. sometime too fast is 30, you can ask anyone in MN, they'll vouch for me. but on real nice roads that are straight and warm.... MOntana on I94 in July, 135 - 150 is too fast.
Who can we beat @ Honda for ceasing production of the prelude ??????
The G is a better car but man I'd be rolling in a 2005 prelude if they made em (prob would have the V6 thats in the accord). ARRGHHH the pain , why dear god why. yes i know the market wasnt doable for the price they wanted , twas a sweet ride though !

They did not want inter corporate competition with that flashy S2k... I am pissed. Loved the 92 - 96's, the 97 - 01's were nice, but drove a little funny. I love those VTEC Guru's. Just look at the TL's HP rating. Still love my wife's G35.
