I think you'll be happy with your decision. I hate pressure sales tactics. Luckily, my salesman didn't pull any of that crap; although, I did get a call from the sales manager who gave me the same line about, "Well, I hope you know that your resale value will be decreased significantly." I told him that the 2200 bucks that I invest in a few more stock shares will cover that if need be.

Quote: -Auto-dim/homelink mirror: This is nice, but you can buy the exact same one online for ~$250. Do a search for gentrex, they make it.

Thanks!

IMO...For all the bashing you all do I'm surprised you even own a G. Just get it and be done with it.

I like bass....nothing like feeling the music. I didn't change my entire system though. I just bought 2 12's and an amp and hooked it up to the bose. I turned the bass up on the amp for the 12's and turn the bass down on the radio so I can use the stock speakers for the highs and mids. Sounds good for only $500 more.

Quote: Exactly, people buy this car thinkin its gonna bump bass like whoa when the truth is...you don't have 2 12's in the back. People go to Bose Audio stores and dream of having this audio in thier car and can't afford it, and you guys are complaining? I love the Bose audio system and will have to say it beats all stock systems hands down.

The problem with sales people is you never know when they are giving you crap or good advise. Not having the premium package in this type of car will severely hurt your resale value. 99% of the G's have it and the ones they don't have it don't sell well. If you don't believe me look at the used G's. IMO you really shouldn't be buying this car if you can't afford the premium package. Why spend this much money on a Infiniti without options? I would say you should at least look at a used one, but it looks like its too late. I also recommend the navi, but that can put the price over the hump for alot of people. You really do get your money back when you sell it... Oh well too late now.

Price isn't really a consideration for me. I can afford a new M3 if I wanted or a Vette, or a host of other cars. My issue with this package is if I'm going to use most of it (I don't see the need), and if it's worth the price, I don't think it is. With a better stereo, hell yes it's worth it. I'm not bagging on anyone with these options. I just know the stock stereo is no good for me, and everything but the head unit would get replaced, and I don't want to pay for this option, then turn around and gut the Bose, feels like I'm paying for that option twice, instead of just once. The other options are nice, but I only want one of them, the sunroof. So for me it's not appealing, but I will take your resale comment to heart and think about it.

Not saying you bashed the G itself. Just that why low-ball yourself when you're already paying decent money for a luxury car. I say go all out.

it's not low balling to skip out on options you aren't going to use.

it just means more $ for mods for me.

Well, I don't think someone should waste their money on stuff they aren't going to use. As for the resale value, a lot of used G buyers are looking for a bargain anyway. Of course the resale value of a G with less stuff will be cheaper, but then again, it was cheaper to begin with. Plus, if its a 6MT, that already ranks it above the most basic automatic without sport package. So, as to your comment about people who shouldn't buy this car if they can't afford the premium package, well, then, people shouldn't buy this car if they can't afford the 6MT or the sport package either. Being smart with one's money has nothing to do with affordability. I can afford much more than I paid for this car, but I just can't see throwing money away on stuff I won't use. Like I said previously, I would rather take that money and put it to better use. I work hard for my disposable income, and will use it wisely.
