Acceleration noise between G35C and 350Z

Hi,

I have a question about the acceleration noise between the G35C and the 350Z. Howe come the noise that you hear from a 350Z M sounds like a "suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh" noise and when you accelerate the G35C M it doesn't sound the same. I ask this because my co-worker drives a 350Z and when he accelerates the noise sounds unique. I'm not to sure how to descripe the sound though. Is that the sound of the Z-Tube?

Sorry for asking this dumb question folks . I've only had my car for 2 days so I don't know much about the G yet.

they sound IDENTICAL. i cant tell the difference. maybe its because you are in the car and thus are hearing it from a different perspective.

Actually the Z's exhaust is a bit more muffled compared to the G's exhaust. The tone/note is similar, but the G's is more noticeable and louder.

Its funny this topic came up because I was thinking this exact thing last night when I saw a few more Z's than usual. I didnt seem to hear as much coming from them as I am used to with a G.

I've always wondered why this is the case. I've been to meets where there's both G's and Z's. When they pass by, the G is a little louder. Is it because the pipe is longer? I love our exhaust note btw

Well maybe it's because I am in the G and when I hear the sound of a 350Z I'm standing outside. I guess my G will make the same noise as well. I'm gonna have to test that out by getting someone in my family to accelerate my car on my street or so.

It sounds like it has been modified but I know it has not because my co-worder said it is stock. I also hear it on every 350z that I see on the road.

Anyways thanks for the thoughts guys.
