yes it could.........buyers of the car are wary of vehicles resprayed as it could mean the car was in an accident of some sort or had some major bodywork done.

I just picked up a geniune Infiniti G35 sedan cover off of ebay for $50. Just had a little soot by the tail pipe area. Fits like a glove and folds up to the size of a small gym bag.

what did you search for? I've been looking for one but have come across the generic ones.

Paint your car and then try to trade it in and they will SWEAR it's been in a wreck of some sort.

I agree with everyone else but want to add another view. If it's done right, dealers and potential buyers won't be able to tell. If you want to repaint, have them remove the hood, trunk fenders, doors, bumpers...everything that can be taken off. These items should be then be painted while off the car. This prevents over spraying that is the tell-tale sign of repainting. I've seen repaints that were unidentifiable when done this way.

It's very expensive though!

But a professional will ALWAYS know what has been repainted and what has not. I had my old car's front 1/4 panel repainted at a very high end shop when I got a small dent from someone backing into it. I personally couldn't tell that it had ever been repainted b/c the metal flakes were even in the same directions as on every other panel. I dropped my car off at another place to get an estimate done on a spoiler paint/install and the guy knew instantly and asked me who did the work ...

Dealers have people of theirs trained to look for these subtle differences generally unless the dealer is an idiot. Also, if you're repainting everything inside and out then you'll have to remove the VIN stickers on certain panels and reapply them (not an easy task) once they panels have all been repainted. There will always be a sign that the car has been repainted somewhere if one looks carefully.
