i got my VIN# a couple weeks ago and they said the end of june, but i have a feeling it will arrive sooner. i ordered a fully loaded 6 speed including nav. i hope it comes sooner. i had an F order.

I ordered mine a month ago in Chicago and got confirmation it was ordered but no vin yet. It is scheduled to be delivered in August. Is it usually about a month out from delivery when I should expect to get the VIN#?

 

Expect your VIN# 4-5 weeks before arrival.
Some dealers will call you and tell you your VIN, others wont bother unless you call them and ask.

I never knew what order I had, except that the dealer told me my car should be here in one month. Three weeks later... yesterday, I get his call telling me the VIN and that my car should be here in a week or two.

 

I just called Infiniti of Richmond(Va) and got my VIN. I think my wait will be about three weeks b/c I'm on the east coast. Can't wait for my Black beauty to arrive!

I haven't called for a VIN yet, though.

 

FYI

These are the arrival dates of the cargo ships from Japan. This is the company that ships the Infiniti's to the US. I dont know if our G's are on it but thought you all might like to know.

Arriving in New York (the actual port is in Jersey)

5/28/03, 6/5/03, 6/21/03, 7/13/03

Total shipping time from Japan is about 4 1/2 weeks.

If I am misinformed, please let me know.

dave_c, this is great !! Is this the only shipper for Infiniti to the states ?? Is there an online access to check schedules for west coast arrivals ?? Can you provide any additional detail so we all can keep tabs on prospective shipments ?? Thanks. ...dean
