You can always buy a good 100k warranty for the G at any time, so it really doesn't matter that much... It should cost around $1200 to $1400.

I have driven the 330i and it doesn't have the power the G35 has; I have also cleanly beaten the 330i 0 to 60 by an entire car length when the BMW driver was trying really hard. The M3 is really in a different class IMO so I don't even try to compare the two. I like the 3 series, but at the end of the day its just another car. People seem to respect the G a lot more.

No **** sherlock. Thats a stupid comparison. It's like me saying Ferrari then M3, G35 and 330CI. There's no point.

Its all about gearing. The extra torque the G has makes it a faster car from highway rolls but from a dig, both cars are very similar. The G is faster in passing situations though and in automatic form, it puts down the power better. The BMW has a better ride compromise though and quality is better on the BMW. The interior noise level on the G is loud compared to the BMW. You always get what you pay for

on a G35 board you ask which car to get ? most people will tell you G35, as for my experience, go for BMW, look at my sign i would never trade in my BMW for G35 if i can choose again.

Since I mentioned the M3 was one of the cars I've owned recently, and because it had come up in one of the earlier posts, just thought I'd mention what a different experience it is than either of the other two cars. You ever own an M3? No?...ok then tool...back to your car mags

Thats so funny. No wonder people say BMW drivers are dicks. But really 60k+ on a car doesn't give you bragging rights. Plus for that much money I'd buy a Vette. Car mags? I dont read car mags.

My post was done in haste, I apologize. I wasn't bragging about owning an M3, simply saying that if you haven't actually lived with one for awhile you may think that it is just a car that is .7 sec faster than the G - which to some doesn't sound like a huge difference.

Regardless, I sold the M to get a G35 and am very happy with my decision. I like the Vette as well...

Quote: well i dunno where you heard that the g35 is more powerful than the 3 series because it is actually the opposite.
WTF?!?! The G35 is more powerful than the 330i by about 50 HP. He's not talking about the M3, that's a diff story.

I've never owned a BMW but i was looking at used 02-03 330Ci's before i bought the G35.

It was a tough decision for me for a moment...but once i saw the two next to each other it was clear as day that i had to get the G35 coupe.

As mentioned, the 3 series do look a bit out dated. I didn't think the interiors of the 330 Ci's were even all that nice either.

My mom has a Kia (ok, stop laughing) and her speedo and odometer all went out and I told her she has a 100k warranty and they should cover it.....nope, she ended up paying $350 for a new sensor! Women are suckers.

I was in the same situation comparing a 330Ci Zhp and a G35c. Both cars are impressive in their own way but priced out, the G35c was the clear winner. The base 330Ci cost just as much as a G35c with premium out the door for me minus markup. And many options on the 330 is standard on the G such as leather, xenon, and 19" rims for the coupe. Only the 330Ci Zhp is on pair with the G35c but it comes at a cost. That being said, I get a wow feeling when I see the G parked in the garage and have to admit I'm glad I picked up the G35c.
