ques about splash guards

i'm debating if i should buy a set of splash guards but i'm concerned about water and debris build up beneath the guards, which may lead to rust. what do you guys think? how is the material quality of the guards?

I think the car looks a whole lot better with splash guards. I would get it.

You can get the splash guard from any dealership. Everythingg35 also has them.

If the guards are installed correctly without any gaps, I don't see any reason why rust would build up in there.

I got mine from Grubbs.

You wont have rust as long as your paint remains intact to protect the metal. The splash guards do a good job of this, IMO.

Plus...........THEY ARE HOT! Talk to your local dealership and tell them about the internet prices you have found. Don't buy into the "well, you have to pay for shipping with the internet" line. It's true, but the bottom line is, those prices are low but above cost. Meaning, they'll still make some money and have a happy customer. Tell them to work with you.

FYI-I think total cost for F&R splash guards is around $140.

GOOD LUCK!

I think he's talking about the metal panels...

There is no reason the panels will rust unless the paint gets broken, as 6-Sigma said....however, soap, wax, dirt and the like will build up within the edges of the guards over time....it shouldn't cause any harm and a lot of it can be prevented if you spray them thoroughly when washing....

Very little buildup of debris after splash-guard install.
Good quality and price.
Mine are still fine after 2 yrs. and I'd recommend them.
