When did you "know" you had to have a G?

For me, it was a rainy day, and I was waiting at a light. I was trying to descide between a Porsche 968 (hard to find one that met my requirements), and a G35 coupe.

Well, a black/black coupe drove slowly by, and I cracked open my window to take a listen.....I was hooked, just like some commercial

How about you?

For me was sitting at a stop sign waiting to turn on my bike. There was a Z turning on the corner. As he went by I heard the exhaust and I decided on a G afterwards.

Weird huh?

For me it started when I was having dreams about me driving around the city in the G. So I started saving for over a year and here we are today. Great coupe!

Had planned on buying a '97-99 NSX, more like lusted over the last 5 years.
I was never interested in the Z. I decided to start reading one day, and found stats on the G. I had always thought it was a little blingy for my taste, but once I started reading about the power, the skidpad, the brakes, it was a done deal. A '97 NSX with low miles and in mint condition still going in the 40k range, which is fine, but I could have a new car with a warranty with not far off from the performance of the NSX + some backseats and more up to date styling. Next thing you know I ordered one

I didn't need to get from 0-60 in 5 seconds in the wrx. I was driving and there was a rattle over every bump, even heard it over the exhaust(which is saying a lot). And my mom said we can trade it in and I immediately knew I wanted a g35x without any hesitation. The 330xi was to much I think.

I knew when I first saw one....I used to do state motor vehicle inspections in a ritsy lake suburbia on the outskirts of Austin....there I got drive many high end cars....the looks, the exhaust note (of course), and the price made this car a best buy in my book...not to mention the availability of a 6MT and Navigation...sold!

OK, for me, it was long ago when the Z first came out, I wanted one so bad, then infiniti started to advertise the G. It was the back end that had me hooked, then one fateful day last summer I saw a G and a Z cruising the strip in DUluth together, and I said to myself, that will be my next car. For my wife, I had to take her to the dealership and get in one... she was sold.

I was coming back home after getting my Jag repaired (again) and happend to take a different way home. I noticed an Infiniti dealer, took a test drive, then got the car 2 days later. Extremely happy with it.

Cool Turning radius?

I knew I had to have one during the test drive...

Myself and 3 friends took a 6MT Sedan out for a spin - without the saleman.

We had just stopped in an empty parking lot to switch drivers and I read aloud the part in the brochure where it states that the G35 has a 37.4 foot turning diameter.

My friend, who was at the wheel, said "bull****!"

He revved the engine, threw it in 1st, popped the clutch and spun the wheel.

After we had completed a 360 he put on the brakes and hopped out. "Eh, I think it's more like a dime..." he said.

Oh yeah... Had to have one!

Without a sales man, is that possible??? What do they say to you before you got in..."You promise to bring it back?"
