The R&T Road Test Summary uses the 04 6MT Coupe I believe

V6 280hp
0-60: 5.9
0-100: 14.2
1/4 mile: 14.4@100.6
Top Speed: 155 (electronically limited)
60-0: 112 feet
80-0: 199 feet
Skidpad: 0.92
Slalom: 66.7

I haven't seen any mainstream pubs put out any results using
an 05 6MT.

These are the slowest recorded times for the 6mt by the way.

no kidding they are slow times, when I was looking at purchasing I found mags that got 6.0 out of the 5AT, 6.3 I think out of the 5ATX

5.9 is terrible... sounds like R&T needs a new driver.

I read 5.6 in a couple places while researching my G purchase. According to repeated runs using a Gtech (admittedly not perfect), my 05 is averaging around 4.9. I'm not stock either though.

I heard about 5.7 to 5.8 on the 05 with the sport package (that comes standard).

Slow ET, but hell of a trap! My best trap out of 5 runs was a 96, but I did manage a 14.4 et.

Actually I've seen as slow as 6.0 (or maybe it was 6.1) for the 6MT

Also let's remember 0-60 times etc. are usually "claimed" by the manufacturer's marketing department. Who knows under what conditions they arrived at those times, whether it's BMW, Infiniti, Porsche or any other manufacturer.

It would be cool if there were a Consumer Reports for car performance. Not reliability, owner satisfaction, pricing or stuff like that. Just performance. I know there are lots of mags that do tests and such, but I'm talking about a disinterested group having a test track where all sports cars would be tested thoroughly under the same conditions. Let's say ten or more trained racing drivers who put each car through the same tests on the same asphalt at the same sea level and atmospheric/weather conditions with top-of-the-line measuring instruments. Including a dyno with the same operator every time. I'd like to see a huge Excel spreadsheet with the performance stats for every year, make and model sports car made in the last 10 years. If such a thing exists I don't know about it.

It was 6.1 and it was done by Road and Track, the same folks that got 5.9 on a separate occasion. I guess testing conditions were different, but enough to make a .2 difference to 60? Remember, they take their best numbers. Looks like sloppy driving to me.

Does the -10 Torque come into play, or does the extra horsepower make up for it?
