buying navigation

hey, I wanted to get a navigation for my 03 g coupe, because my parents bought me it for my 16th bday in 2003, and they did not get the navigation. I was woundering if I could take it to my infiniti dealership and have them install the stock one or would that be to expensive? or if you have any suggestions on what the best navi would be please let me know, because this is something I have been looking into for a while, and I just cant get a good idea

I don't think you can add the stock NAV on a car that originally came without it, as the required wiring is not installed. IF you find a dealer who can do it, it'll run you in the thousands.

If you want something integrated into the dash, just go with a double din that includes NAV.

You have to do an aftermarket which has its pros and cons. Its too expensive to get stock navi installed after the fact; most dealers won't even quote it. There's a lot of posts about it in the nav-audio forum. Its a real pain, but doable. I like how the eclipse install looks the best.

I have a magellean Roadmate 700 and love it. The nice thing is that you can use it in any car that you drive. It has voice directions and maps for US and Canada . I've had mine for 2 years and love it. I take it on vacation and use it on Rental cars. Check it out.....
