Anyone else notice this? (Brake squeaking when parked??)
Have a BS/G 05 AT and so far I love it.
I was in the back seat cleaning the windows and had to shift my weight to get more comfortable. In the process of moving in the seat, I "rocked" the car a little bit and noticed a squeaking noise. At first, I thought it was a loose attachment of the rear seat to the frame but I was able to keep reproducing it by making the car rock forwards and backwards.
Then I realized that it sounded like the brake pads were engaging and making a squeaking sound. As I rocked the car backwards and forwards, the brakes were squeaking??!! Basically, I could make the squeaking sound on command with the car in the "PARK" gear.
Anyone else notice this? I also notice sometimes that when I am cruising very slowly at 5mph in a parking lot, I can hear a similar squeaking sound. Is there something wrong with the brake pads (not disengaging fully?) or is this "normal?"

yup, I noticed this also.
The stock brake pads are shiat. I know of guys running AM brake pads that are very happy with them. I intend to take full advantage of my 3yr brake warranty, so I'll live with the noise. I hope they end up changing the quality of the OEM brake pads sometime soon.
BTW, I think what you experienced in park was something else, maybe a defective shock/strut?
