I went to infiniti today and the sound appears to be normal for the manuals. there is a larger than normal input shaft made for the car and the stop rotation of the shaft is causing the sound.

let me know if you guys know what I am talking about..

i have the auto headlight problem with my remote start. drained my battery a couple times when i first got it :/

clockwork- no it won't hurt the car if you shut-off with clutch-out in N.

gear to use while parked...
Use first gear if your car is on a flat surface or on an incline.
Use Rev if your car is on a flat surface or on a decline.
