I'm new to this board and I'm trying to decide between a 325ci and a G35c. I have found a lot of useful info on this board but would like to read others. What are the other boards/forums I could look at for G35c?

FD gave me a couple of new ones. The ones I know of are

6MT.net and freshalloy.com. I like all three including this one.

As to BMW vs. G, well, obviously I'm biased toward the G. Doesn't detract from the B, but don't take all the negatives you read about in the various forums on the G as absolute gospel. Reason I say this, and most posters would agree, a lot of us are a bit **** or obsessive about our cars. In frequent posts, you'll see the writer talk about "I-go-over-every-inch-of-my-car" or some such thing.

Tell you how bad it gets: someone like me who takes lots of long trips for work and play had road rash up front on my last ride (still, at the end of 178K miles in 5 years, it looked beautiful to many) . When I heard that the paint on the G coupe MIGHT be soft or whatever, I started reading up on "clear bras". That convinced me that I'd not have that same prob again if I went the clear bra route. 4 days after picking up my car, I had a clear bra installed. And I'm not really nutso about my car!

So, take some of the talk on the forums and sift it thru your mind. And remember that there may be 300 people reading a post and only 5 are saying they have the same prob.

I'll tell ya, I'm glad I have cable - and would suggest anyone on dialup avoid that particular forum like the plague. I've never seen so many ridiculous graphics-laden sigs in my life.

I know what you mean almost every week I have to empty out the "Temporary internet files" folder, cuz it gets up to 10gigs of worthless crap and pictures.

4. freshalloy.com (lots of crap to sift through)

Thanks, all. I definately appreciate all your input. I actually called the insurance company today and for here in Chicago, the G35c is ~$500 less a year in insurance vs. the 325ci. That fact definately helps the decision a little.

 

You should manually reduce the max size of your temporary internet folder if you're constantly cleaning that much out of it.
