Mobil one synthetic, although you may want to wait until the next oil change and more miles before the switch from dino.

Just for a definitive answer: should I get an oil change right after the 1200 mile break-in period? Then the next one at 3000 miles or 3000 miles after that (4200 miles)? Switch to synthetic at 3000 (or 4200, depending on above answer) miles or my next oil change after that?

Thanks, I hope that's clear.

'05 5AT by the way.

I did my own initial change at ~1200, same as I've done on all of my other cars, and went straight to Mobil1 5w-30. Also went to the M-110 filter from the shorter stock filter. I have zero smoke and no oil is being lost now that I'm at around the 10K mile mark, and I (on occasion) beat the hell out of the thing when I'm in a hurry.

If you follow the break in procedures correctly, you'll be fine. Wouldn't use anything but Mobil 1 in anything I own, though.
