trading my 04 6mt for CTS-V

Just wanted to say it's been fun reading and posting over the past year and a half and I still love the G35 coupe ( a modern E-type). I know the Caddy isn't perfect ,rubbery 6speed, no hand parking break, week rear diff and wheel hop on hard take offs. But I'm sick on living in fear of STi's, EVO's and M3's. And it burns me up every time I have to adjust the seat backs when some one get's in the back. The cts has a better nav/radio room for 5 and the 400 hp is worth the money. The best part is the price falls so fast on these things I'm getting a 05 with the sun roof and sport shocks pre-owned w/ 1300 miles for 43500 with the bumper to bumper 6 year 100000 mile coverage
Out of respect if I see any of you in the DC area in a G I will not show you my tial pipes. I close on may 2nd if any body wants a 2004 CB w/tan seats coupe 6mt with every thing nav, areo,xm and 2005 19in rims and brembro crossed drilled rotors for around kelly bluebook trade in value. I don 't care about the price I am going to sign it to the dealership for that price so I would rather see a member or fan get it. I bought it in sep 03 and it has 36000 miles and all serves done.

Nice choice. I'm a big fan of the CTS-V. That car is sick.

Best of luck.

"good Luck"
Well being a Cadillac owner in the past i can tell you that the only "quality" car you will find from GM is the Corvette, Rest is garbage.
My 99' Northstar Motor that is supposed to be so "GODLY" took a shlt on me at 40k!!!! Still under warranty those ***s at GM delayed the Fix for a f#### half Year @$$ holes.!
Seats started to squeech and wear of at 55K. I always garaged it and quality on cadillacs is just crap. But I guess for the Money its a good "Short Term" buy. Make sure you sell it asap once probs beginn I did! lol....

He essentially is buying a corvette, so hopefully he wont have the problems you speak of.

I also had a great chance to buy a brand new 2004 leftover for $38,000 a month ago. But in the end, the cadillac is still too old of an image for me. It would be a great car for me in say 5-10 years. But right now, I'm leaning heavily towards the G.

Great car choice. Its really the only game in town for that much money (luxury and speed). I'd personally would get a c6 but its very difficult to live with a 2 seater. You made a great choice!

?

wow the most replys I ever got. any way the caddy is low 13's in the 1/4 with a trap in the 107s and high 4's in the 0-60 with traction and wheel hop being the limiting factors. thats quicker then my buddys SC 350 track.(one of the reasons I need a faster car) and I have never been into mods because the get pricey and problematic. I got my old wrx to put out some good dyno numbers for about 4 grand but spent another couple keeping it on the road till I broke down and bought the G. the caddy and the G have about the same +s and -s but it's faster, bigger and rarer.(for those of you not in the DC area, they are a dime a dozen here)I see more G coupes the CTS's of any trim level. and not to step on any toes I think the caddy is a little more sporty, the meters, and config options are not to be missed. The balance is more nuteral and not as tail happy, lower center of gravity with less suspension bounce and much(? in feel at least)better brakes and last but not least a vett engine

RIGHT before i bought the G, it was a toss up between the CTS (not V) and the G35... Coming from a previous honda driver, I wanted to stick with imports... Good pick in the CTS V i wanted that, but it was too much money...

If I see you on the belt line....show no mercy and look for my smoked tailights! LOL

Good luck with your new ride
Because there is no 14k difference...when most people buy a car they don't pay fully in cash, they make payments.
