New IS350 or 05' G35 Coupe 6mt
I know the new IS has come out yet. But based on looks and projected power output for the IS, which would you take? I won't be purchasing my new car til oct when the IS350 is ava. The wait is killing me. I am so tempted to just go to the infiniti dealership and pick up a G now! Thanks for you input.
For pics of the new IS:
www.lexus.jp
On a side note: my color of choice would be silver for the IS and white or black for the G

My input is to do a quick search here on the IS and then get coffee because you're gonna have a lot of reading to do.
Until the IS is on the street, you see the performance numbers, you feel the ride, and actually see what the car sells for with regard to the MSRP you are only guessing.
The rumors I've been hearing is the IS350 will come in about $8K over the G. The G gives a little discount but the IS likely won't when it first hits. Their may be a premium in fact. No one knows. It's all SWAGs.

there is a HUGE thread regarding this somewhere...
do a search and you will find it. but the thread turns into a flame war from what i recall.. the IS350 seems like a GREAT car as far as i can tell and boy would i love to own one. But again.. at the end of the day i might pick the G35 over it for the same reasons many have picked the G35 over the 3-series.. $$$ and value... however.. the IS350 may be good competition against the 3 series at the price is about the same, but youre gonna get a lot more bang out of it it seems like than you would for the new 3.

IS350 will be in $40k range from what I hear... load it up with options and it will quickly reach close to $50k if the $40k starting price is true. I like the new IS but for the price, I don't think it's worth it... it is a great car, though, and the power output will be 300+hp. I would still choose G coupe over IS350, but that's just me.

Are you comparing the IS to the G 35 coupe or sedan?
If you're comparing the G coupe and IS sedan, only you can decide if you want 2 or 4 doors, but I think the G is the way to go.
IS and G35 sedan comparo is hands down won by the Lexus. The G sedan is actually quite ugly, if you ask me, and that L-car looks mean ... for a sedan.
