i also have clutch shudder in my car. it's not as prominent as it was when my car was brand new... so now i usually just try and ignore it.

...but, this is what really annoys me:
Quote: ... and every time when i drive up to 4k-5k rpm and press clutch to shift, there is a loud noise. really hate that, may be nissan just dont know how to make clutch...
i also find it annoying... and friends that have been in the car tell me it makes the car sound cheap (i have to agree). worst part is the amount of feedback i receive through the clutch pedal at these higher rpms... it throws me off when trying to rev match. this is the only manual car that i have ever driven that has had this nuissance. can anyone tell me the technical reason behind this noise or why it's happening??

My '03 is undergoing surgery now because of a really bad shuddering/chattering clutch problem, which got worse after they replaced the tranny and clutch. The dealer is telling me its the pressure plate that is bad and causing the shuddering. We'll see if its fixed when I get it back in a day or two.

But right now, its really bad - my whole car shakes and shudders when I let the clutch out from a stop. It's had a slight clutch chatter since new, but it got much worse after they replaced the tranny.

Has anyone else had the pressure plate replaced? Did it fix the problem?

Try it shifting at 6k rpm, its going to make a sound twice as loud, and you feel the feedback from the clutch.

The '05 has a completely different pressure plate yet the problem persists. I'm surprised that you're getting even more chatter with a brand new tranny and clutch. Do you only get it when letting out the clutch?
