Crashed my G - pics & questions
I hydroplaned my car into a small pine tree at 65mph, into a ditch, and slid and spun for a few hundred feet. Damage doesnt look too bad, but it was quite a ride. The G35 has such an awsome traction control system, i was suprised when i felt "out of control". I was wearing my seatbelt and came out perfectly fine with only a few minor scratches and seatbelt bruises. My gf wasn't strapped in and broke a vertebrae. 3 airbags deployed (both front, and passenger side). What has to happen for the backseat bags to deploy? I'm new to this board - what are some decent rims & body kits - I figure i might as well make my car look nice considering the value just dropped big time and i might as well keep it for awhile! Drive Safely!

Damage isn't that bad??? Good God man, whats wrong with you?
That G is in in horrible shape, and im thinking the car is a total loss. Good to hear you and your girlfriend are ok...minus the broken vertabrae
Good luck.

wow sorry to hear about the accident. hope your girl is gonna be ok and doesnt sue/blame you for what happened. Goes to show you wearing a seatbelt is very important. but its only a car and it will get fixed. glad you both came out ok.
On a side note can i get your grill. The chrome one ... as long as its more or less together i would love to take it of your hands. let me know thanks. if its split in 2 i'll still take it. THANKS

sux bout ur car, but you did some serious damage. i've seen car w/ less damage get totaled. make sure that infiniti gives you an estimate of the damage, cause it will be more than any quote anywhere else. insurance companies will try to refer you to their bodyshops, but dont accept this. if your car is not a total loss, than you know infiniti will fix ur car better than anyone else.

wow, I am really sorry to hear about your accident. At least both of you are ok... I noticed you are in fl. where in Fl? It has been raining alot here in the past week. If you are in central Fl, I suggest you go to Lokey infiniti to get a estimate. We know the service manager there and he was be able to not only help you fix the car but also get a body kit for you in the process. LMK if you have any questions and Good Luck!

gee im fast: thats the previous gen m45
car looks damaged enough to be considered a total loss. if not, it is definitely going to cost 15-20k or more to repair. my accident looked similar but sustained damage to only the front. its possible that most of the engine bay(probably not the engine itself) will have to be replaced. the chassis rails are probably bent as well. good luck, id try to claim it as a total loss. theres always those annoying post-accident problems that will drive you nuts.

First...ouch!
If I were you, I'd try my best to get your insurance to total your car and possibly even get a new G35 or a different car. There's going to be at least $10k damage in repairs and even if the repair shop is good, the car is NEVER going to be good as before and possibly not as safe frame wise. In addition, think of resale value (1 major accident).
I can say from experience because back in high school my BMW E36 sustained a good amount of damage, but I loved that car, poured lots of $$$ into it and so I ignorantly had my car repaired. I did what you were thinking and I got new wheels and body kit. But the driveability of the car was never the same. Couple cars later I'm here. ;P

myGspot: The grill hit the tree head on. I think it broke into several pieces.
The M45 in that picture was completely destroyed. I didnt even know it was an M45 until i got home and saw the pics. The roof/front/sides were completely crushed.
shetyamout: I live in Orlando. I'm not sure if the Orlando dealership does collision repair. I had the car towed to Daya's Custom Auto's in Longwood - very expensive place - I'll find out if its totaled tomorrow.
The paramedics were going to use the claw to get my girl out. The ditch wasn't giving them much room to play with and my girl wasnt moving with her broken back. She's finally walking again with a back brace, she's in alot of pain, but doing alot better. I wish she had her belt on. I warned her so many times about putting her belt on, that i gave up after awhile. The front frame performed very well during the accident - a barely even felt hitting the tree. If this happened to my other car, Nissan Sentra, i think the tree would have gone halfway through my engine compartment!

I don't move the car unless everyones buckled up first, and if they rufuse, we aren't going anywhere...why? I can't live knowing that I caused someone to loose thier life. Sooner or later, people who hop in my car have thier belts on quicker than myself...
