Driver's Side Air Vent Rattling

I know that the G35 has a stiff ride (especially with the Sport Pkg), but I didn't think that I would have rattles in the first week of ownership. Has anyone else had problems with rattles, specifically the driver's side air vent?

By the way, I did do a search and did not find anything related to Air Vent Rattles.

Thanks.

My car is doing the same exact thing. I noticed it only a couple of days after I bought the car. If I hold it with my hand, the rattle goes away, but I have no clue how to fix it. When I go in for my first service, I'll get them to fix it.

Maybe it has something to do with the color .

Mine does it too, I'm going to ask them when I take the car in for my oil change.

There goes the color theory!

I may just take it this Saturday and see what they say. If I go, I'll post what I find out.

I have rattles also. I thought it was the drivers vent but it is the window switches in the door.

Gentleman, I know this post goes back awhile but did you guys get the rattle problem resolved? I've had my G since March 05 and for the past two months I've been meaning to do a search on this subject. It's my driver side also, and it's bugging the hell out of me.

Heh my driver's side vent is also rattling. There should be a TSB on this. More people need to be OCD like us and car makers would have a whole different level of quality control standards...

Mine rattled for a bit a month or so ago... but after I slapped on one of those tiny airfreshener things onto the vent it stopped... good smell and no noise, I'm not complaining.

Mine used to rattle too. The area where the clock sits used to rattle as well. Lately after about 4 months of ownership, the rattles have gone away by themselves. I guess everything just 'settled' in. Go figure. Hope ya'll's rattles go away too.

Take care.

I have the same rattle in my vent. I noticed it shortly after purchase and took it in to my dealer to fix. They tightend a few things and it was fine for a few weeks but I've noticed it came back. Not sure what I'm going to try next. If anyone gets this fixed please let us know. Its the only rattle I have and it drives my crazy!

Yep, my driver's side air vent also rattles sometimes. It's almost a buzz sound when it happens. No it's not caused by the air going through.

Yup, so does mine. 05 6MT Black/black. It is annoying, but it has mostly gone away (or maybe I just got used to it and cant hear it anymore). There is a rattle behind the sunroof panel that is driving me nuts too!
