Driving Styles to maximize Fuel Economy
#31
i definately noticed a big change in fuel economy when i started driving conservative. When i drove hard, i got 260 miles before the light turned on. Now i get 360 miles before the light turns on. Its awesome although sometimes i have a bad urge to just step on it, but i try not to. Anyways, driving conservative saves more money than i thought. At LEAST $10 a tank

If you can use less fuel by driving a little more conservatively most of the time then it makes sense to do it. That doesn't mean you can have some fun some of the time.
Everyone has an obligation to exercise some level of conservation on this planet. BTW, I'm no granola crunching tree hugger either.

It's a huge country so that's probably why it felt so long if you actually did drive across the whole thing. The divided highway limits here are 110 km which is 68 mph and I believe higher than most of the states I've been through. I recall 55 mph signs everwhere and overwhelming numbers of troopers and radar planes out there at least compared to here.

Below is too weak (slow) for normal driving during the weekday...maybe on a sunny weekend below might work... people will ram into your tail if you shift at 8mph/13kmh
during the busy commute.
