Selling My Cobra For a G Coupe
After owning my 500hp beast for 1.5 years, I decided it's time to move on. After looking at the Cadillac CTS, Acura TL and G35, I chose to go with a G coupe. The Cobra goes up for sale this weekend and I should be picking up a G next week. Looking forward to the experience.

That is quite a difference going from a 500hp Cobra to a G35, do you plan on keeping it stock? What part of florida do you stay at? I saw a video of a guy in florida with a blue 500hp cobra that was an 03.

You are going to miss the Cobra hp/torque big time. Believe me I did the same thing and the power withdrawal is difficult to overcome
. Cars that you normally would stomp on with little effort and kill by bus lengths will now become challenges. These are two totally different cars. But if you need more practicality like I did than the G35 is the way to go. Anyway you can have both
?
Here was the dyno curve for mine with a 2.95 pulley, exhaust and chip. Not bad for $600 in mods.

well, half a snake here --- just traded in my 05 gt for the coupe. So I lost the T from the car name, lost about 15 ft/lbs torque and about 10k in the wallet - but all in all can't be happier.
I needed something that got better than 13mpg, that I could make a call in if I wanted to (stang was too loud), sometihng that th epeople in the rear seats could actually sit in if they had to. Then there was the whole fact that I got $600 more in trade than I bought the stang for. WOOT! That value can't last long... eventually ford witll make more.
You'll have fun. The torque withdrawal will take a few weeks and you'll forget all about it - until you see an ad for some air induction

What made you decide to sell the car if you don’t mind me asking?
For me it was the birth of my son, which made me think twice about street racing. Saw all the crashed up Cobra’s on SVT Performance and decided to be more responsible. I guess I grew up and needed a little more sophistication.
In my opinion both cars are good at what they were designed for.
Here are some pics of the old beast…

I decided to sell because I just need a more efficient/practical daily driver. Plus the Cobra had too much power for the area I live in. Too many tourists...

. No, I am no longer on SVTPerformance, but sometimes I miss the knowledgeable threads unlike these kinds. https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/54154-g35-vs-american-cars.html
"It seems that the G35 handling is so much nicer than a corvette and twice that of a mustang."
Some people are just clueless
I am thinking about getting the Crawford Plenum, have you looked into this yet?
