I know im 18 and I can be a little nieve, but think about it we have so much more pride in our cars. If you gave a lady the choice I gurantee you our car would come ontop 10/10 times every single time. G35 vs gto wow who cares, slap a turbo or sc on our car and well see who talks espcially with a 3.5 liter engine! In my opinion PONTIAC is a bunch of losers, my friend has one and we all rip on him all day. We tell him its like buying a "poor mand ferrari" or look I think i own a vet but i dont!
Very mature post bud. You slap some 7 grand worth of forced induction on your G and see how it compares to a well driven 05 GTO. You might be about even. There goes your warranty and reliability also. I know most of you guys dog on GM cars, and most deserve it, but the inside of the GTO is actually quite nice, and rides just as good as my G35c, not to mention it pulls like a ****. By the way, I and most people on here, could care less what some woman thinks about our cars. I drive it because I enjoy it, not someone else.

I like the G just as much as everyone else here, but your posts are pathetic.

Tou'che Sandman. I like the g as much as everyone else. It is a great car. But I admire all cars for whatever achievement they deserve. Even if it may not be a car I would have purchased. Truth be told, If I fell within a higher tax bracket. I would not be in a g. Still a great car though.

For you people who honestly think that the GTO gets uber gas mileage... do a google search on the word CAGS.

Thats why EVERY LS* car GM has produced gets "great" gas mileage. Even my fathers old ZR1 had CAGS. The gas mileage is measured using the CAGS shift assist... or shift defeat... whatever you want to call it. The only LS* car that does not come with CAGS is the Z06. Either that or they had disabled the one I was tracking @ Bondurant. Fact of the matter is, if my V6 with 300 hp gets as good of gas mileage doing 3K rpm shifting in every gear vs a 400 hp car that gets the same gas mileage being shifted 1 4 5 6, then I guess Ill have to live knowing that. Oh and by the way, those trannies are 4 running gears, over drive and DOUBLE over drive. We have 5 short ratio running gears and one over drive. Do the math.

Check my sig. I have both a G and and LS1 powered car. My SS has CAGs deleted (CAGs is a POS!) and I can tell you I get just as good as milage in town in it as I do in the G. On the interstate I can get 28-30 mph with the SS. Its fun to be doing 90 mph and be sitting a hair below 2,000 rpms. I am actually rather disappointed in the MPG of the G, but I didn't buy it to be economical so I could care less. Its an awesome car to drive everyday!

I think I'll have to set this up on my DVR, but sadly I think the G will not be the top performer. I think the 330 will be close with the G in all the areas. We all know the GTO will stomp everone.

Whoa, just as I was typing this a commercial for the GTO came on, I think ive seen 2 my whole life.

You'd think that Ford and GM would want to keep this under wraps what with such lovely attributes as a pushrod motor, solid rear axle, 5 sp manual tranny, 4 sp auto tranny, FWD and an iron engine block or two. All engineering abominations in a 2005 model year car.

Not true. I had a 99 LS1 6spd. And I disabled that feature on mine. The LS1 is a very effcient V8. Highway they can do 28 mpg due to its very tall gearing. At 70 mph in 6th its cruising around 1500-1800rpms.

There's no replacement for displacement. 6.0L to make 400HP is pretty dang good and better than the previous 350 from 5.7L. If there was a G45, we would ALL jump on it!

LS series engines are great. They have been proven time after time. Very mod friendly as well. G coupe with LS engine would be perfect... haha.
