My Coupe Service Engine Light Went On
My Coupe Service Engine Light Went On
My service engine light popped on last night and I have no idea why it did. I am thinking it could be one of two things that happened but I do not know if they are serious enought o be concerned or to bring it to Infiniti to have it serviced. I cleaned my intake last night and moved it around a little bit, nothing too much but I don't kow if that did the trick. The second possibility is that I left the hood open for a while, while it was raining and I do not know if that may have done it. I unplugged the battery but that did not reset the light. The car is running fine and feels normal. Should I bring it to Infiniti to have it serviced? Will the intake void my warranty and therefore cost me an arm and a leg to have looked at? Will the light go off by itself and make me feel a whole lot better? The light has been on steady for about 16 hours now. Any thoughts are appreciated.

they can refuse to serve you because of you intake (yea, as lame as it sounds)
since it's running fine i don't think you broke any of the air sensors, so I would say unplug the battery, but leave it unplugged for 12hrs. to completely clear the memory. It should only need like 2-3hrs. but better air on the side of caution

also check your gas cap, remove it and then twist it back on for 3 clicks minimum
