thinking of buying a used G
buying stick or automatic. Watch for rear tire wear, and rattles on the interior. Ask if the previous owner had any subs, that can cause rattles. The pros are too many to list, you cant go wrong with a G. Good luck!

Unless it was modified [as many are] examine the cats and make sure they are oem. Look out for exhaust/intake mods.
As you will have a limited time [100,000 miles] to sue the previous owner to force return to EPA/oem as designed-produced condition. AS-IS doesn't protect the modifier from emission modifying recourse/liability.........but you have to find it early.
The above assumes potential buyer is looking to minimize repairs after warranty.
Demand documented oil change receipts with date mileage. [3,750 miles or 90 days whichever is earliest].

Do it! You won't regret it. Surf through the forums and test drive G's in different configurations. Make an informed purchase. I just got my new G, yesterday, after researching for some time. I love it. The G replaced my existing '96 328i convertible. I've have owned 3 BMW's since they were showroom new and the G has not dissapointed me.
Speak with current G owners of previous years, drive them and compare them with comparable cars, if you are able.
Good luck and enjoy!
