Ok. You wouldn't need a clear bra at all then since you would rather wash and wax those front bumpers all the time eh?

And when using the Clay Bar be careful not to leave any residue on the edge of the bra.

I'm sure it would be fine otherwise since that's what they regularly do when they go to dealerships.
Hmmm ... I went to the dealer today, to pickup my plates, and the showroom car had the ClearArmor on. Much better job than mine. :-/
I think I am going to give ClearArmor a call on Monday. The edges at the bottom of my front bumper stop about 2 inches higher than the bottom. I thought it was normal, but that other car had it all the way down. Also the edges on my headlights are about 5 or 6 mm from the sides, very visible, and that car had a perfect 1mm of less.

Did they do the replacement on the spot ? Did you wait/watch ?

clear armour did a pretty bad job on mine. picked the g up at serramonte and i had a problem with the gap to the edge on the hood and there were lines everywhere on the hood. i guess it's based on installer with them. as with many ppl here in the bay, i have to give my props to "wil" or sam at premier. they replaced mine and it came out great. luckily i got my $900 refund from serramonte.

Run a toothpick along the side of the clear bra.

You should go ahead and call. There are no exposed areas in front of my car including the chin spoiler. Yes, they did the replacement on the spot - no waiting since I made an appointment. Took them less than 30 min. I'm thinking about doing the whole hood - just wondering how much it would cost.

if ur gonna go w/ the whole hood, i wouldn't go w/ that 3m stuff. i had clear armor do mine and it wasn't to my liking. u could definitely see the film on my g since i have black. the orange peel bugged me plus the gap on the edge of the hood was a good 1".

How'd you get your money back ? You told them to take it off, and refund you, or ... ? I am really having 2nd thoughts now ... :-/

I called them up. They showed up at my home, "house call".

Although I was quite disappointed in the original application of their film, I was now very pleased with their service. They showed up, early, and completed the job in 30 minutes.
They fixed what I was complaining about (stretching the front), and also went around the car and fixed "minor" issues, such as getting rid of bubbles, re-finishing some edges, redoing the tow hook cap, etc ...
According to them, application at the dealership is very often rushed, and could be done better...

Feeling better about my purchase now ;-)

dealers hose you big time....go to 3M's website and they have a list of certified installers. Just pick one in your area. The guy I went to does it for all the dealers in the area. I paid $500 installed for all the places you mentioned. He said the Cadillac dealer charges $1000, Ferrari $1500 Audi $800 all for the same job. Never buy stuff from the dealer if you dont have to
