Dammit!! Got Egged!!!
My car was parked outside my girl's house last night and some neighborhood kids threw an egg at my car. I didn't even notice it till I got home after the egg had congealed and hardened on my brand new paint. That's what I get for parking in a ****ty neighborhood, huh?
Well, my question is how do I get the egg off my car without damaging the paint and has it already done any damage overnight??
I would really appreciate any suggestions...thanks.

That sucks!!!!
I would first try to wet the area down, let it mosten back up for a bit then just try to wash it off. If your car is well waxed it should come off fairly easy. I would then use a cleaner wax on the area, then re wax it .

The eggshell can scratch the hell out of your paint too.
Soak a microfiber and put it on the egg - make sure your car is in the shade. It should soften it quite a bit - make sure you keep the microfiber really wet.
If you haven't let it bake in the sun and you keep good wax on your car you should be okay.

A ****ty neighborhood shouldn't be blamed...My [past] car has been egged several times in very nice neighborhoods...More than likely the kids that egged your car didn't in live in the immediate area but came from [across town] somewhere else. We have things like this happen all the time in my neighborhood...and they are getting braver and braver - putting dents and breaking headlights/taillights. I've chased some kids down before in my truck and turned them in. Now I have 4 court dates all in the same week because all of them say they weren't doing it....Oh well. Try not to park your car on the street period...And I'm sure your paint is OK. On my old car it was left sitting on the passanger side all night and part of the next day until I noticed it...
I hate to say it, but no damage now doesn't mean it won't show up a little later. Since you have NO recourse, the best thing to do is take care of the finish in that spot and then try to ignore it from then on. Otherwsie, it's going to eat you up if you start seeing the bubbles/texture develop in that spot. Nothing you can do now other than cleaning (clay-bar and wax). If problems arise, it's going to take a re-paint and blending in of the area.

Claybar the area, use a good (read clear coat safe - I like Mothers glaze and sealer myself) car polish and then topcoat it with some wax and you should be fine. If it looks good today, chances are it will be okay - you could see some etching or yellowing down the road but if you keep good polish/wax on the car the chance for the damage to degrade futher is minimized.

Never use a paper towl on you car it will scratch the paint
I wipe bird crap off my car with detailer spray and wet papertowels. If you don't rub it
back and forth it will not swirl THAT much... I use very little pressure and do only
two or three passes as most. Swirling is undetected. I usually finish off with
more spray and buffing cotton towel, or wax if necessary.
