you didnt expect them to honor the engine warranty after spraying did you? What is the car doing? And for $10 grand you could get a fully built engine, they'd screw you over at that price.

Do you think you are being screwed over because of the price or becuase they aren't going to warranty the repair?

Seems pretty ballsy to me to expect Infiniti to cover anything with your list of mods.

Check around for a reconditioned L/block. There are people around with spare engines. I know Malx has one or 2 sitting around.

$10k sounds about double what it should cost.

Is there a such thing as an 04 Limited Edition 6MT? I'm referring to your MOD list. What makes your G a Limited Edition? I've never heard of that model before.

After what you're saying here, maybe you should call it a G35 6MT Limited Compression.

How do you think they are ripping you off? Because of their recommendation, their willingness (or unwillingness) to cover your discrepancy, or because of the price they want to charge?

Engine + labor to attach accessories + labor to install + warranty = large dollars. You may be able to get a motor from a junkyard or online cheaper, but you still have to hang it. If you don't have the facilities or ability to do it yourself, make a reservation in the hurt locker.

What is your car doing that caused you to take it in?

WHy would it be the block. Wouldn't it be the rings? Re build it your self and put a stroker kit in. That might solve the probelms.

Why the hell would you put a 100 shot on a G35...? ANYWAYS, wet or dry?

Tell them you'll provide the long block. You can buy a lightly used one from a salvage yard for $1800. I know because I did it. Go to www.robbinsautoparts.net and search for any of the compatible long blocks (350z, G35 sedan/coupe).

Better yet, find a competent mechanic and let them do the swap. The dealer will charge $95/hour and charge you book rate.

NAWS!!! We on earth would you be pushing a 100 shot on this engine? Great way to screw an engine. If I was the dealer, I wouldn't give you an ounce of sympathy. Congrats on your new paperwieght!

as far as warranty, what did you expect? anything less than paying for the repairs out of pocket would be fraud.

so two of your pistons have low compression... it could be any number of things, most likely rings or cracked piston. those don't necessarily require a new block.
