new clearance lights..

new clearance lights..

so finally i just bought the "piaa super led white wedge bulbs" im wasnt sure if these were the right ones..the guy at the place i bought them at said they woule work perfect for the g-35 that their made for it the bulbs size is..."168" i wasked him a couple of times if he was sure...i think i read on here the clearance bulbs were "194"..did i buy the right ones,or was this guy just trying to make a sale..i dont even wanna go through the hassle of installing them if their not right...

194 = 168 = wedge type bulb, the guy was an honest man And the whole "hassle" takes 30 sec to change each clear corner (if you have em) and maybe 20 min tops for each clearance light.

thats the next thing im gonna buy is the clear corner..not sure where i could find them...and i need the leds for those as well...i went to clearcorners.com..but damn they want 310 for a set? a little much eh?

get them from grubbsperformance.com or courtesyparts.com. They're something like $40 and you're gonna need the same exact bulbs for them.

you have to have skinny hands to change the clearance lights unless you want to do it the long way. i thought it was hard to manuever around with the hood up to get to the clearance lights but austin helped me put them in.......ok he put them in for me but i tried to do it.

No, you just remove a bunch of clips on the wheel well liner while having the steering wheel turned all the way and the car jacked up (you don't need to remove the wheel). check this thread for pics

Each side takes like 20min through the wheel well, it's really easy. I think only Austin is skinny enough to change them through the engine bay

white is legal instead of amber in the front in cali.

wow..i just looked at that thread thats attached,and i have no clue how people did it with just their hands,i just went to look at the engine bay and its super tight,i dont even know exactly what im looking for....
