We have one of the highest accident rates in the entire country. Not much traffic and long open freeways doesnt help either.

i hear ya, my mom freaks out when i drive in the rain, some of the time here in s.fl you can't even see when you're driving, pretty scary stuff. hope everyone involved in the crash are ok.

I don't know how Florida law is, but I suppose you cant be held responsible if someone does what I said in the story above.

As for the accident looking like its not the G's fault, my reason for that is that it seems one picukp hit the other which made it spin and it landed over the G.
I don't know what the exact law is in Florida. But I was in an accident when I first turned 16. Driving home from school, a girl was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way (We were both stopped at stop signs. She didn't come to a complete stop. I had the right of way and starting to accelerate to turn. She t-boned me). The accident was her fault and she admitted it and was ticketed. The next year, my insurance went up $400. That is just my case. I don't know how different it would be if you are 25 years of age or older or whatever other circumstances are involved.

My insurance (Allstate) has what they call a "Claim-Free Discount." If I make a claim, I lose the discount, even if I'm not at fault. My "Rates" don't "Go up" but they get more money out of me. Slimy, ingenious bastards, those insurance corporations.

In California, you are charged with the accident if you are 51% or more at fault and there are $750 in property damage or any injuries. Can't say how driving records are affected by accidents in other states.

As far as who is at fault in this one, those photos are not indicative of anything. It really only shows how the cars ended up. The real question is how they got there...
hey ckwik long time no see or talk man.. has it been since 2002 @ the 240sx national convention?

like he said the law varies from state to state. In NY in a hit in run the State assumes responsibility and you are allowed to sue the state for damages etc.etc. it's been a while so it may have changed since 1987 lol

P.S. Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s are hands down the BEST rain tire out there.
