I found out my dealership had an on site repair service they used for customers cars.....I had them repair my front rim which had about a foot long rash on the lip of the rim(I slid into a curb first snow storm I had the car).

Anyways, I figured it wouldn't match since I checked out several on line repair services, all said they couldn't guarantee a match, and I should repaint both rims on that side.....well, that wasn't going to happen, so I took my chances....it was well worth the $100 they charged me. I also had their dentless repair shop fix a crease I put in the front fender at the same time.....I am more than satisfied with the results....Check out wheels america. I think they have serveral locations as well....Heres a pic or two of my repaired wheel.....

Thanks

Thanks for all the help guys, It's funny, these wheels seem to have a black primer and a silver top coat. If I can find the right color, I should be able to fix them myself. Just need an air brush. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I'm not sure how it's done, but you sure cannot tell the front which has been repaired, from the back which have never been touched.

I dont have any before the first repair but if you click on the link to my car you can see there is NO difference between the front rim that was repaired and the back rim which has never been touched...

Check it out; you cannot tell it's been done.

Question Do I need wheel alignment / balance after getting curb rash?

Hello everyone.

I've got a new DG G35 Coupe. Love it love it love it. I smile every time I look at it. Well, except for where I put a slight curb rash on the passenger side wheels.

To make a long story short, given that I have slight curb rash on my wheels, should I be considering getting the 2 affected wheels balanced and a 4 wheel alignment done to prevent any long term effects?

Thanks!
