Strange Question about interior Dimmer

Ok, my interior "dash" dimmer seems to be worthless. If I attempt to reduce the interior lightining, there is a huge dropoff off from Maximum to "just below" Max. As a result the interior become too dark for my liking. However, Maximum is too bright for night driving. Has anyone else experienced this?

It will get dimmer in the setting just below max when you turn on your headlights. If you leave at max it will just stay that way.

I understand this, however my dimmer causes a huge drop-off with the slightest adjustment to reduce the lighting.

I want the interior lighting to dim a bit when my auto-lights turn on. Time to head to the service shop saturday.

Mine does the same thing. Luckily for me I like it exactly where it drops off to for night driving.

Same here it takes a few nights to adjust to it but it feels so much better on the eyes.

i like it just below max for night driver, it is a lot easier on the eyes and it's not at all as intense as the max. light.
