Need some input from all you clutchmmasters

Ok is it possible to let off the clutch too fast? I only ask cause I decided to show someone what the G can do tonight and shifting from first to second I let off the clutch real fast and it seemed to stick to the floor for a split second and then come bach and slap my foot. I have driven manuals all my life and never experianced this. The clutch engages fine and catches normal but seemed to stick to the floor for a second. Am I doing something wrong or is ther something wrong or am I just paranoid? any info would help.

That's really weird man. I've been driving stick for years and have never had that one. I would say that something like the pedal spring or clutch wire is defective. Time for a visit to the dealer bro. Sorry.

Now I just have to try to figure out a way to explain this one to the dealer. "Well when Im pushing the sh*t out of the car and shifting like a maniac it doesn't work right" . Hmmm that might not work. I guess I'll think of something. Damn and I trhought I could put of the dealer until 5k miles. Actually I guess I could cause it's not a major problem and I'll probably drive 1500 miles within 2 weeks anyway.

The only issue is that they "have to test it" then... well... lets just say ..that would make any mechanics day a bit more fun.

sorry to say bro... hope it works out.

Well I guess as far as them testing it I can duplicate the problem with the car standing still. It's just that I guess it's pretty obvious that the only reason time that I would notice the problem would be when I am wailing out in the car. But hey thats what it was designed for sort of so It shouldn't be problem. Time will tell.

Re: Need some input from all you clutchmmasters

That's a new one... never heard of the clutch sticking to the floor before.

Anyway, what I'd suggest telling the dealer is that it stuck when you had the clutch fully depressed at a stoplight or something... and that you went to let it out, and it didn't - then BAM! it popped, or something like that.

Absolutely it sounds like a dealer repair item, I can't imagine how your driving would make it do that, whether you're a newbie to manuals or not.

Could be that your car mat was on the way, push it down a little or maybe there is a metal that sticks or hooks to the carpeting when you push the clutch..

Re: Need some input from all you clutchmmasters

Sounds more to me like you didn't get your foot square on the pedal. Perhaps your foot slipped casuing you to perceive such an effect. You may also have got your foot momentarily caught under the brake pedal or something like that.

Re: Need some input from all you clutchmmasters

Nah It was nothing like that cause I can make it do it when the car is in the driveway if I push in the clutch and let it out really fast. the carpet is locked down so I dunno I guess well have to let the dealer figure it out. Ill keep you guys posted.
