Is it a Skyline?

Is the G35 a Skyline? Are there any differences? Same engine?

An Infiniti G35 in America is a Nissan Skyline 350GT in Japan. Their are minor differences, the 350GT's get some more Interior options and such, but nothing major.

As a matter of fact they share the same specs all around. Same car but with different names. Some say it's an Infiniti G35 in America because Nissan already has the 350Z as their sports car. Infiniti needed a sports car in their lineup so Nissan decided to use the Nissan Skyline 350GT as the G35. The only major difference is the right hand drive, and the name emblems on the trunk, grill, seats, engine cover, clock, steering wheel, and wheel caps. If you were to get a g35 or 350GT and limo tint all the windows and take off all the exterior emblems, you would not be able to tell if it was a G35 or a 350GT. Can anybody else provide some more differences?

So they are indeed the same car, but with different names.

I thought G35 was called as V35 in Japan.

I guess they call it as 350GT as well since GT4 shows its name like Skylike 350GT(V35)

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but the JDM also refers to the Skyline 350GT by it's abbreviated chassis code "V35" or it's whole chassis code, "CPV35". This essentially means "Coupe, 3.5L or VQ35DE".

Cool I was wondering the same thing. So it is confirmed that the g35 and the skyline is the same. Now i want to change all by baging to Skyline. Correct me if i am wrong but I need the change the rear INFINITI the Skyline, the G35 to 350 GT. What do i do with the frount grill to make it like the Skyline?. What about the new fender G/T emblems. Does the skyline have those to.

Does anyone have a pics of an original Skyline so i can see the differences. I want to badge the car to look the same!!

Thanks

The emblem just clips into the grill. Just unclip the INFINITI emblem and snap the Nissan one in. Then you'll have the get the rear stuff, the door sill plates, steering wheel cover for the air bag. It'd look really awkward if only half the stuff was changed to Nissan and the rest left as INFINITI.

Later,

Ray

I totally agree with Ray. Of course it's your car, so do what you want, but please don't do half Infiniti and half Skyline. Just because there is no such animal! You might as well have a Acura Skyline. IMO, if your going JDM, do it the right way by changing out ALL the Infiniti logos for Nissan. It may take some time to find all the right parts, but I think it's worth it. Here's some pics of my car incase your wondering what the logos might look like JDM style...

"change all infiniti symbols to nissan"

Does grammar and capitalization count?
