i live in philly, i hear them riced out hondas and neons ALL the time.. and it seems like they don't ever get a ticket cause you always see them around.. my cousins exhaust fell off so he makes that nasty sound too but no problems yet.

We have noise regs down here, but I've never heard of one being enforced.

You should look up what the regs are in your area. Ask the policeman to tell you exactly what decibel level your exhaust was, what it was tested with, when the instrument was calibrated (ask for calibration report), and what training he has to use it.

If he can't provide this information it's really difficult for anyone to tell you with any reasonable certainty that your exhaust was too loud.

I got a ticket for this years ago when I was rolling around in my father's Charger (huzzah for parents who keep their old muscle) in Chicago. I just showed a receipt for a legal exhaust kit, along with one for installation, and it was dismissed.

good luck in fighting that ticket...exhaust legality is really up the the police officer in question...he can ticket you for anything he wants pretty much. Just because other people have loud exhausts doesn't mean it's legal.

And I do know how loud the Pro-1 exhaust is...I had the first prototype, which I took off because it was too loud.

Just curious. What part of the city were you in when you got pulled over? I am in the northern 'burbs and I've got the Invidia G200. It's only really loud at WOT, but you know how often a G35 owner's right foot gets drawn towards the floor, right? Anyway, good luck at court.
