Tranny rattling in first gear...an answer yet?

i just noticed this today, which is why i came to the forum to find out what was going on. whenever i turn off the car in neutral with the clutch engaged, i hear a chattering/rattle come from the transmission or clutch. i have 2k miles on it, and it has never made this sound until today... i hope this thread doesn't die, i don't want to have to call up infiniti to schedule an appointment!

Its been a couple of months and it seems as though the noise has died down. It runs smooth as hell in the mornings but once i have it running for at least twenty minutes, it still makes a slight chatter when clutch is already engaged and i accelerate from each gear. But the sounds are not as loud. I'm at 3,800 miles. It was really bad when i first got the car but its died down a lot so i can live with it. Still chatters off of a dead stop going into first gear which is annoying but i hear from this forum that its normal.

Wow!!! I know how you all feel being the new owner of a G35 coupe... well not so new anymore. I have a 2004.5 6MT.
I will keep it simple and short... I heard same thing from day one in my garage. 6MT and 350Z both make the sound in every year. Throw cluctch in before turning off car and then listen.. it will be dead quite without the marbles sound. It has to do with the type of flywheel our cars have. Just accept it. I thought it would always annoy me but I got very use to it and don't even hear it anymore.... plus I got in habit of keeping clutch in when turing off....like pushing in when turning on... I don't even think about it.
Car has much more good then bad overall... Just take a offramp at 60 and you will forget about the marbles.
That said... they should have fixed it by now
