im learning how to drive a stick on this car and im starting to get the hang of it. one of my friends drove my car and said it was tough to drive but with time i will be all right. you should too.

I had an 02 rsx type-s,and the g's clutch is alot stiffer.It's hard to beat the clutch's on those honda's,they're way smooth.After getting use to your new g you will end up liking it very much!

The hardest part was geting the shifter into the 2nd gate without the gearbox
getting notchy. It's got a very small window to get that timed correctly.
clutch engagement hasn't bothered me. overall it's an easier car to drive but
that 1-2 lever noticiness could be improved...

Add me to the group who went from Prelude to G35. For me it didn't take long to adjust and the difference doesn't seem to be that great. The biggest adjustment to me is getting used to all the vibration you feel through the cluth when you shift at anything over 4500rpm.

ya same with me, i like the prelude shifting much more, feels more solid

Echoing what all the other guys have said here, it just takes a matter of getting use to. I spent the last 4 years driving a 01 Cobra and the first time i drove my G i stalled it twice. It's now been 4 months since i've had my car and i am happy to say i love the way it drives.

at first i thought the clutch was a little stiff, but i've gotten used to it. i drove my buddy's 02 mustang GT and DAMN that clutch was STIFF, but it had a much shorter throw than my coupe.

I like the clutch feel in my G35 C much better than the clutch in my 911. Part of the difference is that the Porsche's pedals are hinged on the floor which affects the arc over which they travel when pressed. It is something that takes getting used to when driving the Porsche.

The clutch engages a lil high.... takes some getting used to... it'll be a few thousand miles till i start driving it like and auto but ill get it... b4 the the G, i drove a celica saturn and bmw3 seri and the G is by FARRR the hardest but then again the other cars arent hard to drive especially the saturn.... i stalled out like 5 days ago... kinda embarrassing buh wudda gona do... guess it happens o btw it was a hill so i guess its not too bad... dose anyone else occasionally stall, miss gears, grind or anything like that?

Yes, the clutch does engage quite high. It engages almost at the end of its' travel. My last 3 cars were BMW's, which were much easier to drive in MT.

I noticed that my brothers '04 6MT Sedan is much easier to drive. The clutch engagement point is about mid way and when the clutch engages . . . you really feel it and know it.

Has anyone else driven a '04 6MT and noticed the same? I was told that the '05 6MT's have a dual mass flywheel. Does that make that much of a difference?

The 05 has a different pressure plate which affects clutch stiffness, don't know how exactly the dual mass flywheel affects clutch engagement. I admit that the only manual cars I've driven since I learned stick are a 350z, '04 G coupe and my '05. So I have NO idea how easy or hard any other manual car on earth is to drive, but IMO the 05 is actually easier to drive. To me the stiffer clutch makes the Z and '04 G a little harder even though like you pointed out you can feel exactly where the clutch engages, pre-'05s also require a greater shifting effort, but it's nothing all that different. I guess it's just a matter of what you're used to.

it does engage rather high and for me to learn on it is pretty crazy. i gotta go to the dealership and check my tranny out tho cuz now that ive got the hang of it, im starting to hear an clunk when i shift.anyone know what it might be?
