Man, i feel like shieting in my pant every time i shift from 1st to 2nd sometimes. I mean sometimes it can be shifted really smoothly, but sometimes it is a completely different story. that makes me think if there is something wrong with the engine.

I also come from a 98 prelude and Hondas do have smoother transmissions. However, I think that the 6MT is pretty good considering the amount of power the car has. The clutch is a little high but you get used to it.

the 05's isnt as stiff with the pressure you have to put on the clutch.. i personally hate our transmission and how weak our clutch is.. do a search on the post about the clutch not engaging fully.... ive done it at least 3 or 4 times and the first time my girl drove my car she did it within 10 minutes... the 05 clutch sucks monkey *****! im switching it out for the jwt clutch flywheel combo!

im not talking about stalling.. im talking about the clutch not grabbing the gear or whatever and just burning it and none of the power is getting put to the drive train like its still in nuetrual but its not.. its such a horrible feeling

Trying letting the clutch out quicker or perhaps you are revving the engine a bit too high, prior to clutch engagement. That is what I figured out on my '05 6MT. Now it drives very nicely.

yeah i know how not to do it.. my my point is being that its a 35 thousand dollar "sports car" they should have given it a better clutch to handle the power or revs... the 04's and 03's dont do this.. i drove my girls car!

Yeah, that does suck. I drove my brother's '04 6MT. His car is closer to what I am accustomed to. Actually, I prefer the way his car engages into 1st gear, but I wouldn't trade my car for his. My G is part of the family, now . . . LOL.

There is a big difference between the 2004 and the 2005. The 2004 takes a bit more skill and practice, thus, it will be a little jerky until you adjust your driving to the car. The 2005 is much smoother.

When test driving the 2004s, I was uneven at slow speeds, and never adjusted to it during my numerous drives. Months later when my 2005 arrived, my starts, stops and shifts at low speed were smooth before I got it home. It's as easy to drive any other manual transmission car. Easier than my old Eclipse GSX.
