Took my new G on it's first 1200 mile road trip through the northern UP of Michigan. couple thoughts

1. saw ZERO coupes entire 20 hour round trip from Minnesota to Michigan and back

2. got 25mpg, quite pleased about that

3. car was awesome, super comfy, a real pleasure to get on the highways.

4. it's amazing how much crap you can squeeze into that trunk and rear seats if you have to

overall, very very very impressed and pleased with this car, from it's powerful grunt in low gears to it's smooth highway driving.

The wifey couldn't wait for her turn to drive

just thought i would share that

 

cool. im planning on taking my G on a road trip from nyc to toronto canada. only thing im afraid of is parking my car in the motel parking lots overnight.

 

Sounds like a blast! I can report that you can easily get 12 cases of Miller Lite in the trunk without having to remove the manual case or the first aid kit!! (suitcases of cans - not bottles )

Fortunately my wife is still a little anxious about driving it so it's still all mine. That and she says she has enough fun in her A4 with a manual trans.

 

Glad you enjoyed the trip. The Coupe is a real nice hwy cruizer.
Your mileage was good for a new ride.
...and it's true, you can get some serious luggage back there but it has to be planned.
