Adding coats only increases durability. The first 2-3 coats should have removed all little swirls/scratches and added all the gloss you can get. I too have 6 layers, but they were applied over the past couple of months and I just keep adding another 2 layers every 2 months or so.

I would add at least another 10 or so layers to make the G invisible . . . Looks good!

Can anyone else post pics of your car and tell us what kind of wax you used?

yes wax in hot temps = not long lasting. which is why i use klasse AIO and menzerna FMJ. it gives you long lasting protection but the FMJ gives it that deep wet look you want from caranuba wax and resists high temps. i'll post pics late sunday/monday once i'm done detailing the GFs black 99 accord... i've done the hood w/ 3M glaze and showcar wax and it was amazing (PC of course). but to each their own... I wasn't down with the amount of effort required for zaino...

I think the extra coats just add some more protection...not so sure about the shine.

Here's mine with 1 layer of Zymol...and that stuff lasts a pretty long time too...

Meguiar's Gold Class...I'm thinking about changing to zaino though since i read you don't have to apply it with the PC DA Polisher.

This is not correct either. Z2 does not remove swirls or scratches. Z5 will remove very very fine scratches. The more you layer over a shorter time the more wet Z2 will look I find.
