Oh well, maybe no more G for me.

Ordered my car almost 3 months ago. Got word today that they fat fingered the order and didn't order it with the sunroof. I'm livid! I've waited 3 months, and if I want it my way, I have to wait a minimum of 2-3 more months for an '05, which would probably be October.

I actually want the sunroof for myself but it's more about when I resell the car years down the road. Don't know what to do now, part of me is like go get your deposit and wait for the all new '07. ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They already checked the database to see if there is another one in the country that meets my specs, nope! Originally I didn't even want it until the end of the year, but the pisser is that I've prepped my current car for sale, pulled the stereo out of it, alarm, etc. And now I'm stuck listening to bs stock stereo, no XM, etc. A car is a material item to a certain degree, but damnit a *** up at the store is one thing, it's another thing when you wait for months. He also said production of the '06's is right around the corner, but I don't want a last year production model

Unhappy

I feel for ya. I had the same prob, almost. I ordered mine in October of last year, it didn't get here untill February of this year. I guess that's the price you pay for cars built in Japan.

With infiniti's new order management system, they should be able to alter and existing order to match your specs... unless all their incoming G's are already spoken for... which is unlikely.

The dealership messed up on my order originally too, but when it was discovered they went into their system and altered a G they already have on order... there is some give time there, if the dealer is willing to work with you at all you shouldnt have to wait another 3 months... its their fault not yours.

if they aren't willing to do that, then look to another dealer.

Man, that stinks.

Tough call on what to do...but I say it's not worth it to get an '05 in October. Wait to be one of the first to get an '06!

Infiniti ordering system hahahahaha

I ordered a premium pkg silver 5AT coupe in March and ended up with a fully loaded 6MT blue coupe in November.

They can't do a search for you and find a car with everything you want in the colors? Someone has to have one sitting on the lot.

Yeah he said he could do that. That is how they ordered my car the first time. Like I trust that **** again! He said it would definitely take 2 more months minimum. I'm pissed off. My car is converted back to stock right now, for sale and I was about to sell off some of the stereo equipment. All be ****** if I'm going to pay to have it put back in, mfers!

Non premium with sunroof, R01, and R94 packages (all spoilers, etc), there isn't another one in the country in IP/Stone with these specs, not a damn one.

At this point, I don't really get why people are custom ordering G's and waiting months. There are about 50 brand new G coupes at my dealership alone, and that's just ONE out of hundreds nationwide. What's so absolutely special about yours that you can't find one in the entire United States to buy in the next week?

^Personally, the problem was with finding an '05 6MT IP/Stone without a premium package, aero package, etc. Had to order it for that color/trans. combo with only splash guards and a trunk mat. Not an F'n one to be found... ...at that time.

Wow, I can't even imagine waiting 3-4 MONTHS just to get a G with a sunroof and without premium. You're talking about the difference of a $36,000 car vs a $37,000 car. Over 5 years, that's probably about $15/mo. Is that really worth it?

that's even worse wait time than for MINI coopers. that's insane.

At this point, I would get my deposit back plus a freebie of some sort,
then take the money to another Inf dealer and get something off the lot.

agreed, just go to the lot, and get a nice ride, and get a good deal on it, like 500 over invoice, be happy with a fully loaded G, got damn, you people are funny, if your budget yourself for packages, why didnt you get a ACURA RSX TYPE S
